What is the URL Alias feature?

The URL Alias feature allows you to go to a website by simply typing it's corresponding alias into the address bar. For example, if you wanted to use a URL Alias that allowed you to go to www.dogpile.com by simply typing "dp" into the address bar, you would enter the following into the URL Alias list;

Alias: dp
URL: http://www.dogpile.com

Setting up a URL Alias

You can setup your own URL Alias's by going to Tools > Avant Browser Options > URL Alias.

To add a new item to the URL Alias list, click Add, and enter the "alias" you would like to use, press Return (aka Enter), and enter the URL.

Using the URL Alias feature

To use the URL Alias feature, all you need to do is type the alias for the website you would like to go to, into the address bar.
